Zeeën Community, Safety & Moderation Framework

Last updated: 11 March 2026

Applies globally.

These Community Guidelines describe behavioural expectations for users of Zeeën and form part of Zeeën's acceptable use framework.

See /acceptable-use and /user-safety.

Part 1 — Community Guidelines

1. Our Purpose

Zeeën exists to solve the last mile of real-world connection. It reflects moments of proximity between people who have chosen to be visible.

It does not create contact channels. It does not track exact locations. It does not encourage pressure or pursuit.

Zeeën is built for:

  • Friendship
  • Community
  • Networking
  • Creative discovery
  • Serendipity

2. Core Principles

2.1 Consent-Based Visibility

  • You appear only if you choose to be visible.
  • You can turn visibility off at any time.
  • No one owes anyone interaction.

2.2 Respect for Silence

A wave is optional. A response is optional. Silence is a complete answer.

2.3 Real-World Conduct Still Applies

Zeeën reflects proximity. It does not change appropriate real-world behaviour.

2.4 Safety Is Foundational

Zeeën is designed to minimise misuse through:

  • No exact location display
  • No historical map trails
  • No in-app messaging
  • Short visibility windows

Part 2 — Prohibited Behaviour

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal.

1. Harassment & Intimidation

Prohibited:

  • Repeated waving after no response
  • Attempting to confront someone offline after rejection
  • Threats, coercion, pressure
  • Following someone physically after discovery

Zero tolerance.

2. Stalking Behaviour

Prohibited:

  • Using Zeeën to monitor a person's movements
  • Waiting in specific locations to repeatedly appear in someone's proximity
  • Creating alternate accounts after being blocked
  • Coordinated targeting of an individual

Accounts engaging in stalking behaviour are permanently banned.

3. Hate, Extremism & Violence

Prohibited:

  • Terrorist organisations (as defined by applicable sanctions lists)
  • Criminal gang references
  • Hate groups
  • Racist, sexist, extremist ideology
  • Violent threats or incitement

We block known organisation names and monitor evolving risks.

4. Sexual Misconduct

Prohibited:

  • Sexual harassment
  • Explicit content in profile images
  • Solicitation
  • Sexualisation of minors

Users must be 16 years or older (or higher if required by local law).

Any sexual exploitation involving minors results in:

  • Immediate permanent ban
  • Preservation of evidence
  • Reporting to appropriate authorities

5. Impersonation & Deception

Prohibited:

  • Pretending to be another person
  • Using stolen photos
  • Creating accounts for harassment

  • Unauthorised mass promotion
  • Scams

Businesses must use official Zeeën advertising tools.

Part 3 — Safety System Architecture

This section is for governance transparency.

1. Visibility Controls

All users can:

  • Toggle visibility instantly
  • Activate Invisible Mode
  • Use Delay Mode (prevents real-time proximity reveal)
  • Block instantly
  • Report instantly

Profiles automatically expire from active proximity feeds after a limited window.

2. Location Safety Design

Zeeën:

  • Does not display exact GPS coordinates
  • Does not show live map pins of users
  • Does not store public movement history
  • Uses approximate proximity zones
  • Applies minimum density thresholds to display

Sensitive zones may be restricted:

  • Schools
  • Hospitals
  • Domestic violence shelters
  • Government facilities

3. Moderation System

Zeeën operates a layered moderation model:

Layer 1 — Automated Detection

  • Prohibited keywords
  • Hate/extremism detection
  • Known criminal organisation references
  • Profile image scanning (NSFW detection)

Layer 2 — Behavioural Signals

  • Rapid repeat waving
  • High block rate
  • Abnormal proximity patterns
  • Device fingerprint abuse detection

Layer 3 — Human Review

  • Report queue
  • Escalation triage
  • Pattern analysis
  • Contextual review

Reporting and Response Targets
